چکیده

نهاد‌های تحصیلات‌عالی معتبرترین مراکز طرح و اجرای تحقیقات‌علمی اند و جامعه توقع دارد تا نتیجۀ این تحقیقات شرایط اجتماعی- اقتصادی مردم را بهبود بخشد. اما، سؤال عمده در این است که آیا تمام فعالیت‌های نهادهای تحصیلات‌عالی مطابق نیاز جامعه عیار گردیده‌ اند؟ یگانه رویکرد که می‌تواند به این سؤال پاسخ دهد،‌ تحقیق‌سازمانی است. تحقیق‌سازمانی مجموعۀ فعالیت‌هایی است که برعلاوه از ارزیابی فعالیت‌های عادی نهاد، رابطۀ یک نهاد و محیط آن‌را جهت برنامه‌ریزی مؤثر، انکشاف پالیسی‌ها و گرفتن تصمیمات درست، مورد مطالعه قرار می‌دهد. زیرا نهاد‌های تحصیلات عالی معاصر با چالش‌های جدید مانند مشکلات اقتصادی، تغییر ساختار‌های اکادمیک، تکنولوژی‌های سریعاً در حال تغییر، افزایش نیازمندی‌ها برای اعتباردهی و این‌که چطور مأموریت‌های تدریس، تحقیق و خدمات را متوازن سازند، مواجه اند. بنابرین، اکثر علما تحقیقات‌سازمانی را به حیث هوش‌سازمانی و مرکز پشتیبانی تصمیمات سازمان تلقی نموده اند. در این مقاله مروری مشخصات تحقیقات‌سازمانی و نقش آن‌ها در انکشاف نهاد‌های تحصیلات‌عالی به بحث گرفته شده است.
